Coloring Sheet Circle Habit Tracker

Too Good Not to Share*

My new favorite habit tracker.

This year I’ve been coming to the awareness that there are several things I want to do to make me a healthier, more balanced person. Many of them, like writing, are things I enjoy, but still somehow don’t make regular time for; others, like moving more often throughout the day, are good for me, but it seems I can’t trust myself to accomplish that feat without an external motivator.

I am pleased to share with you my perfect find: a beautiful, free, downloadable, 31-day habit tracker that’s at least a little more fun than a box chart. I found it at the Makebreaks site, Undated Mandala Habit Tracker. There are more at that site, or you can do a search of your own to find a habit tracker that works for you.

I’ve only been at it a few days, and started on the day I first had the idea because, why wait? It’s been an excellent motivator so far. One strategy I recommend for encouragement is to put on your tracker (whatever it looks like) something that you generally do get done each day. That’s why I put journaling there, but it seems the award of a prettily colored square has been encouragement enough for me, so far, to accomplish a couple of other desired habits regularly. Using this visual tracker also helps me to see, clearly, that I’ve pretty much been giving lip-service to my writing lately.

I did look for a habit tracker app but had a difficult time finding a free one. The one I found only let me track four habits before I got to a paywall — and I need so much more help than that. So, paper it is. I enjoy the little treat of using colored pencils for a bit at the end of the day, anyway. It’s more satisfying than checking the box on a touchscreen. It lets me savor my mini victory for the glorious seconds it takes to shade in the square.

What regular habits would benefit you? Perhaps a paper tracker will help.

–All the best as you work to be your best.
