Day 49

Today’s Poem Today*

If there’s not such a thing as a two stanza haiku, I don’t know what this is.

Day 49
False dichotomy:
“Living scared”/ live as before
There are more options

It’s not “living scared”
To proceed in this new world
Smarter than before

~Susan Fischbach Isaacs

*Today’s Poem Today is a new adventure. Since April 1 of this year, I’ve been writing a poem every morning (often a haiku), then posting a few of them days or even more than a week later. It occurs to me that life is changing so quickly, that many of the poems make the most sense on the day they were written — especially because they are titled for the number of days I’ve been sheltering in place. This is today’s brand new, tender baby.
