Let Your Prayer Rise Like Incense

Too Good Not to Share*

Perhaps for Lent you have committed to more intentional prayer, and perhaps you saw this recent article from Aleteia: How Incense Can Improve Your Prayer Life.

If you happen to be looking for good incense sticks for your practice of prayer or meditation, my recommendation is Kalki, made in India, and distributed by Maroma USA. I thought I liked the other incense I had tried from the end caps at big box stores and drug stores, but by comparison, Kalki smells natural and not perfume-y. It was a situation where I didn’t know what I was missing, but now I know better. With Kalki you can actually still smell the natural wood product along with the essential oils that make up the fragrance you choose. The ones I use are: Morning Offering, Gratitude, Silent Prayer, Inner Peace, and Evening Offering. They’re all wonderful, and there are several other fragrances available, as well.

At the Kalki website you can get 50 sticks of one scent for just over $6 (not including shipping). Check them out here: https://www.maroma.com/collections/kalki/

If you type Maroma Kalki into a search engine, you’ll find 10-count packs available in the $4 to $8 range.
